All of our pedigreed cats are genetically screened for polycystic kidney (PKD) and (HCM), and our cattery is free of FIV and FELV. We love living in Oklahoma with our incredible Selkirks, my husband and I. Since 2009, we have been breeding and exhibiting premium Selkirk Rex kittens for sale. Above all, our cats are members of our family, and they spend much of their waking hours either snoozing on our screened-in lanai or "helping us" around the home. Since we produced our first litters back in 2009, we at Jenna Rexes have been cultivating our reputation as a reliable Shawnee breeder. We work hard to protect the health, safety, and well-being of each and every one of our kittens because we take our obligations very seriously.We thus rejoice most when a kind and hospitable family adopts one of our cats.To better prepare them for the outside world, we nurture our selkirk rex kittens outside and expose them to a wide range of experiences. This helps them become calm, self-assured cats who can readily adapt to different environments and ways of life.They've seen and handled most kinds of climbing equipment and toys.They consume a wide variety of foods, such as canned, freeze-dried, raw, and kibble.They have employed a variety of litter materials, including as clumping, crystals, pine pellets, and even mud.

At Our Cattery, we have chosen to become a very small cattery. We prefer to have only the number of selkirk cats that can be well cared for and individually loved. A smaller number of queens results in healthier, happier, well-adjusted, and more social selkirk rex kittens. We also move ahead with our breeding program quickly and do not overbreed our queens; they deserve to have a happy house cat life for most of their lives.A larger cattery with eight, ten, twelve, or more queens is a commercial cattery, and the conditions and attention given to each selkirk rex cat can become stressful and minimal. The health and well-being of our cats and kittens who are Selkirk Rex is our first concern. We have spent no spare money creating a cutting-edge facility that is unlike any other in the world to enable this. While some breeders want to project a "warm and fuzzy" image by saying that kittens are "raised under foot," we work hard to uphold a higher standard of hygiene and a healthy atmosphere in a cattery that is made especially to support these initiatives and procedures. In order to counterbalance our stringent procedures, we have enlisted the help of a specialist in animal behavior who regularly socializes Selkirk Rex kittens.
